2018 Rosé of Zinfandel
Our love for Rosés from Provence continues to define this rosé: whole cluster basket pressed, minimal skin contact time, cold fermentation on gross lees in stainless steel barrels, stainless aged, and bottled within four months of harvest to maintain its refreshing, clean character. The 2018 rosé is a shade lighter in color compared to last year. Decreasing the skin contact time by just a few minutes resulted in a very pale copper color. The aromas are driven by both minerality and crushed oyster shell. On the palate, wild strawberry, blood orange, and hints of dry rose petal are the signature notes for the refreshing and youthful nature of this wine.

The grapes are from our Estate organic dry-farmed vineyard in the mountains (2000 foot elevation) of Yorkville Highlands Mendocino County. Our mountain vineyard soils are a gravelly clay loam with many large rocks mixed in to produce a Rosé with great complexity.
