2021 SEAWOLF Yorkville Highlands Three Graces Grenache 93 Points

$58.00

Our estate, meticulously partitioned into numerous tiny blocks, matches each varietal to the soil type that will best tease out the details of our high altitude wine grapes.  Mimicking the tiny estates of Burgundy,  where often domains own only a fews rows within a single vineyard, our estate Grenache is a perfect example of old world meeting the untamed West.  We have only two rows of this beautiful grape, originating from the southern Rhone, planted at our estate with Mourvedre sprinkled between the Grenache vines.  Our daughter, Marina, and her two cousins, Phoenix and Nova, often bless our surroundings with their youthful beauty and charm, thus the name Three Graces.  Fermented with 50% whole cluster, this co-ferment is elegant and complex.
Aged for eleven months sur lie in 30% new French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered

An immediate wagyu-meatiness wafts out of the glass, followed by vibrant red-fruited notes of wild strawberry, plum and currant. The palate follows through exactly along with a course, firm tannic structure; the finish is a solid medium in length.
