2024 SEAWOLF Marina Pinot Noir Anderson Valley, Mendocino.
$58.00
Mark Wentworth is a dear winegrower friend whom we met more than five years ago. He farms exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir across select sites in Anderson Valley and the Mendocino Ridge. When the opportunity arose to work with fruit from his Anderson Valley Abel Vineyard, there was no hesitation.
From the outset, we knew this site would lend itself to a Pinot Noir of energy, elegance, and terroir-driven character. We named this remarkable single-vineyard 2024 Marina Pinot Noir wine, in honor of our incredible daughter who is also one of the top swimmers in California. Our SEAWOLF pinot noir is a co-ferment of Pinot Noir clones Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, 667, and 115, with 33% whole cluster inclusion. Organic mechanical weed practices used in the vineyard. Bottled both unfined, unfiltered, and vegan. Sur lie aged in Tremeaux French oak, two barrels produced. 13.65% alcohol
This Pinot Noir has beautiful aromas of perfumed fresh Bing cherry, pomegranate spice with undertones of shaved black truffle and sweet loam. On the palate the alpine strawberries, dried Assam leaves, rose petal, and bergamot oil are woven gracefully with the fresh and delicately textured frame of this Pinot Noir.
